Wow - its been over a year since I last updated! Thats a little on the crazy side. But, I'm sitting at home waiting for a builder to finish fixing some windows and watching the minutes tick by. I technically should be at work at the moment but this guy is taking a few million years. It was meant to be a 15min job at 8:30 this morning. It is currently midday!!! ARGH!
Well, let me summarise the past year:
- Finished my forensic degree - Officially worked as a forensic scientist - Got married - Went on a cruise for honeymoon - Got a puppy - Moved house because Lisa's mum moved to Hawkes Bay - Lisa changed jobs - Made redundent - Got a new job in the city working in finance (much happier now, ironically) - Landlords sold house and asked us to move, we agreed with a bit of compensation - Moved house again - Have a battle with landlords over promised compensation
So, now we have moved to a really nice place in Albany - at least no problems so far but we've only been here a few days. The real estate agent seems really on to it so that's all good. But now we have a builder who takes fricking forever and seems put out when we ask how long it is going to be. Lisa got leave from work till 10am expecting it to be finished. At 10:30 I rushed back from city job so she could go to work. Now I'm sitting here kicking my heels. Very annoying. The good thing is that I'm sitting here, getting a chance to update and I have my cutest little puppy curled up in a ball next to me. The cats are also in the room with me so they don't escape out the open doors. Chaos is curled up on the couch and Diesel is walking around making a noise. Lol.
Well, I see almost everyone else who was on livejournal has started to disappear - I guess facebook is taking over slowly. And also life has this knack for interrupting posting time.
I'm back playing indoor netball again - only been once because last week we were moving - but its really good to be on the court again. SORE AS HELL but good :) I had more pain moving house because of the lifting, the jumping over boxes, the rain, the mud and just the pain of it all. Still got a bit to do but at least we can see the kitchen bench and most of the floor. Its just the clothes that we now have to find hiding places for it all.
Anyway, hope all is well with everyone!
Ciao

No update in ages is due to the lack of time - or rather the lack of motivation and the "I-really-should-be-studying-not-updating" feelings.
So, exams are finished. I will hopefully only have 1 more exam ever at Auckland Uni. This may change, but I currently hope not.
I had 2 exams on the 7/06 - that sucked! 6hrs of writing! OUCH! And, don't forget the stress before hand of studying for 2 major post-grad freakin papers! But, they went alright.
Then, my last was on Thursday 14/06 - which I was expecting to be pure evil and it was okay.
AND THEY ARE FINISHED, SO THERE!
I just thought I might as well check nDeva - not expecting anything... let's see... Waiting for login...
Well, went to P!nk - AWESOME! FANTASTIC! GREAT! The pyrotechnics still don't match Greenday - but the camp fire was very entertaining! In all other aspects it was definitely the best concert I've been to. Even beats Bee Gees - yes, I said it. I went to the Bee Gees - and they were amazing! The light show was incredible. So, Bee Gees had best lighting. Greenday had best fire. Pink just won on most entertaining show.
nDeva won't log me in for some reason! Not that there'll be any marks - too early - but I don't like not being able to check.
We had a house inspection on the weekend so I actually can see the floor of my study. Its actually incredibly spartin - I don't like it so clean. I feel like I can't relax too much!
Okay, trying to log on again...
So, I'm now working... oh yeah, I have an update on the work front...
I got a new job - so this will be the end of my 5+yrs at Prime! Crazy!!! And, I will be doing Computer Forensics. I couldn't have been luckier. Jobs sort of fall into my lap - and I'm not complaining. I will be a gopher, but I can handle starting at the bottom. What a better place to learn!!!!! So, last day at Prime on the 31st July - first day a new job on 1st August. Up until then Prime want as many hours as possible, but I've decided not to kill myself these holidays else I'll be heading to uni and/or new job for a holiday! Not a good start! So, I'm working Tuesday - Saturdays (Fridays I'm at new job) until back at uni on the 16th July. Then I'll have to work out a suitable change in hours until the end of July when I'll work Monday, Wednesday, Fridays at new job and FINALLY HAVE WEEKENDS OFF!!! YAY!
Okay, logged into nDeva but its throwing wobbles! Some script timed out.
So, today is my first day off. I'm not sure what to do with myself. I watched the Incredibles this morning, now I'm checking mail and updating but not sure what to do with the rest of the day. I think I'll catch up on computer games that I have ignored for ages! Hehe. What to play?
Bloody nDeva. I give up. I think I want chocolate - I haven't had breakfast, but chocolate sounds like a good start!! :P

I haven't posted in donks, and I don't really have anything to say... but I felt obligated...
21st May - that day seems important for some reason!? I can't figure out what! or why!!
So, nearly the end of the semester - which is freaking me out. I have 4 assignments due before the end of May - 2 big ones due 28th, 1 medium sized due 29th and my thesis/disertation/research essay plan due 31st. Hmmm... I'm in the process of doing the first one due 28th at the moment. Its a research critique on treatment for sex offenders - not that interesting, especially since the treatment was found to be complete ineffective. The other assignment due the 28th I don't even know what its about! I hope its not impossible, else I've left myself only 6 days in which to figure out the impossible!! Hmmmm.....
Oh yeah, then there's the freakin evilness of exams - 2 of which are on the 7th!!! Bah! I'm sure I've whined about this already!! Bugger all that!!
Anyways, what has been happening in my past? Let's work backwards...
Sunday 20th - chilled, studied, cleaned Saturday 19th - worked, shopped, chilled. Also rented out Blood Diamond and Pirates of the Caribbean 2. Blood Diamond is disturbing to say the least! Leo DiCaprio's SA accent is not very good - sounds either American (dah) or Jamacan most of the time. Story is just freakin depressing! But, overall, good movie - just depressing! PotC2 - always entertaining. Friday 18th - forensic work (good), can't remember what I did in the evening Thursday 17th - work, uni (both boring) Wednesday 16th - work - Lisa was sick so on my lonesome at work Tuesday 15th - study, study, freakin study! Monday 14th - uni, study... bah! Sunday 13th - can't remember that far back - but I assume I studied! Saturday 12th - work, chill, Luke surprised me with a visit and donuts!, pasta for dinner - it was good pasta, hence I can remember it Friday 11th - birthday. Had forensic work (which was alright) then went to dinner with parents and Lisa. Good dinner. Relatively relaxing, simple birthday. Before that I can't remember!!
Yip, that sums up just over a week nicely. Now, back to assignment - got 1hr to go then class. Boring icky class!! But, only 2 more lectures for this class - yay! None at all next week!! Dreading exam like you wouldn't believe!!!
Hmmm.... ARGH!

This is going to be a relatively quick post... I need to get on to the studying!!
We have virtually settled into our new place - its really awesome! Downstairs - our bedroom and my study - is a little on the cool side - but I really love this place!!
Lisa's cousin has moved in with us temporarily until he finds himself a flat. Hardly see him - but he's a really sweet guy. Just walks in and asks if he can help out without having to be asked first!! Very strange!! :)
Got my evil chemistry assignment out the way... now I have a toxicology assignment on the 15th May, law assignment and research critique on the 28th May and my research paper plan on the 31st May... but it will all be made better by seeing Pink on the 31st too!!! Excellent!!
Feeling grrr and I don't know why. I think it might be assignments and not getting a chance to just chill thats getting to me. I go from working to lectures to studying to assignments (well, thats sorta studying, ain't it?) and then back again. Even when I'm not doing one of the above I'm thinking about them. I just want to have a bit of time where I'm not thinking "I should really go and do a bit of study". Argh!!! Very annoying! And the fact that I'm consistently stuck in front of a computer - as much as they are my friends - is making me very grrrr. Must learn to channel grrr-ness into study energy!
I actually would love to spend the day watching DVDs or playing playstation/computer games. But, I know if I did then I would regret the time lost from doing assignments and it would come back and bite me in the ass in the future. I have almost the whole day on which to work on my toxicology assignment so I really should get on to it.
Can you tell I'm over this?!?!?!
If money were free - or didn't exist - I would love to spend a whole year travelling - seeing something new. But money things will always catch up with me!! You need money to travel. You need money for those pesky finances back home. You need money for freakin study loans!! Oh, and then there's the normal food, sleep and clothes you have to pay for as well. Crazy how we have to pay to sleep - but you really do. I mean, you could sleep out on a park bench, but most don't and therefore you have to pay for a house, bed and bed clothes or a hotel/motel/etc. Nuts!!
Well, enough of that... back to toxicology... I'll be focused on drugs and alcohol today. Pity it ain't a practical or experimental assignment :P Whom I kiddin - like I'd do that anyways!! Bah!

Quick update... I think...
Been busy - but when do I not say that?!
Started working well on my 4000 word assignment today... feel good about that. I didn't get a chance to work on it over the weekend, but I made up some good time and also I have the whole day to work on it tomorrow - my 1 class got cancelled.
We just had a really boring lecture for Enviro Forensics - its the law side of things and it took forever for the lecturer to actually start talking about anything. We all had to introduce ourselves - luckily there are only about 20ppl, but still! And, then he was doing general admin stuff then started talking about the Romans and the middle ages - is this relevant to enviro forensics?!? So, I didn't start taking notes until the second half when it seemed like he wasn't going to progress. I don't it will have much future relevance for me, except maybe the exam, so I did write something. Not really interesting... but hey - least I stayed awake!
We had a really interesting lecture in Psych this morning. A nasty topic - child sex offenders - but an interesting guest lecturer with an interesting perspective on things. He was straight to the point and very informative.
Unfortunately I won't be able to make the Mt Eden prison visit on Wednesday. They seem to organise everything for a Monday or Thursday afternoon - exactly during the same lecture. And then they changed it to Wednesday and I work! Argh! If I had had more warning I could have got the time off, but I can't exactly ask for the day off on the day!! Oh well... its not examinable - it would have been interesting tho!
Lisa's working in the city today at the Queens St branch so I get to meet her in either 10min or 40min (depends if they let her leave early!). Its nice having company on the bus - I haven't had that since like 2nd year!
I was listening to everyone chatting in Forensics and I really miss having mates at uni. Regardless of the fact that most have left, I still won't be in any of their classes. I really miss Psych with Guan and Edith! That was always so much fun!!
Have been searching for a house - we are probably moving on the 21st April but we don't have a place yet. If the sale of our current house goes unconditional then we have to move on the 21st - but if it doesn't, then we have a bit more time to search. Its still really hard to find a good place. Some that we have found that accept dogs are freakin tiny! And, the bigger ones just don't want dogs! To get one that does we are probably looking at a ridiculous amount of money - and we can't afford it! Oh well, something should come up - I'm scanning trademe and all the real estate websites every day and I've listed with a bunch of places too so that should help.
We're hoping to move back to Browns Bay area - go the bays!
I have the time to keep typing, but I have nothing more to stay!
Ciao!

Okay, a slightly more details post now that I've done some work...
Today was meant to be my lazy morning day - but I ended up not being very lazy. I'm not sure what I did, because I was meant to do some studying and I didn't. I was meant to do some chilling, and I didn't. But, I can't tell you what I actually did do - except I remember folding washing... weird!
So, handed in essay 1 for the year - go me. I'm kinda proud of the content - very not proud of the conclusion. I always muck up conclusions. So, we'll see how things go with that...
Did a bit of work on my group assignment - well, looking into a potential topic. I've put forward the idea of looking at risk assessments and seeing if serial killers fit the profiles of "expected violent behaviour". Which lead me to reading about a few serial killers - some of them are more than a little gross. I can handle killing, dismembering etc... but drink blood, eating brains, start to struggle! Anyways...
Did a bit of research for the essay that I ranted about in the previous post... got a long way to go, but at least I have articles to read now. But, then again, I hate reading articles.
I saw that Season 1 Bones is for sale - I really want to get it but I'm not too up with the whole money thing at the moment... will have to wait and wish. Maybe I'll find $50 floating on the road... if so then I'll get it... no I'll pay off my credit card, then get it! Sigh!
Its Lisa's birthday tomorrow... I've got her a couple of nic things... hope's she likes. With her grandfather being unwell and his "bit" not being very family-orientated things aren't too cheerful. Hope I can at least give her a nice day tomorrow... ignoring the fact that both of us have to work until 8pm!
Anyways... I have a feeling that I'm running late for my class... oooo... not yet, but if I don't hurry up I will be...
At least its not raining...
I'm already sick of house hunting and I haven't done it for that long! I've sent like 30+ emails to people and the majority don't take dogs and the others are already let! I'm starting to get annoyed with real estate! Anyone know of a reasonably priced place on the shore that allows dogs and cats? Worth a try... We have to be out by the end of April... so, busy busy busy!!
Well, heading to forensics now...
Ciao

I just had to complain! I have to write 3-4000 words by 2nd April! Are they insane?!?!?
Thats a lot of words - even when I ramble!!
And, just remind me, how long was the extend essay in 7th form that caused so many people such heart-ache? (Luke, you aren't included in the heart-ache category!)
This is insane - I repeat!
And the topic: Is cruelty to animals an important predictor of other antisocial behaviour? If so, in what ways?
How fantastically cheerful.
Drat!

I think my head is going to pop out of my brains! I mean, I think my brains are going to pop out of my head. Yes, I know that there is a back space on the computer, but I felt that I should leave that confused sentence to prove that I’m not kiddin!! I’ve just finished working on my forensic essay on crime scene investigations. I have been working on it for a while, so I wasn’t rushing to finish it. But, I had got to the point where I was sick of reading things about collecting bugs, teeth, blood etc. And, taking photos. And calling pathologists and entomologists and odontologists etc. Bored now! But, grand scheme of things, it was an interesting essay. I just hope I actually answered the questions. I did write 300 words too many, but hey, that can’t be helped. 1700 was given as a guideline anyway. And who sets an essay at 1700?! Its normally 1500 or 2000! So, I went for the 2000. Oh well… Now, I have another psychology essay to start working on. I can’t even remember how many words that is but it is due the 2nd April. And I haven’t really started working on it. Its got something to do with criminals and animal abuse but that’s all I can remember about it… I really should get my brain to wake up so I can make a start on that! And, last Thursday we were given our Enviro Forensics assignment. Since I’m falling asleep in almost every class, I can’t remember chemistry and I don’t understand half the terms he’s using (mainly cos they’re based on chemistry) I think I’m a little screwed in this class. We were given a workbook at the beginning of the semester to help refresh our chemistry but I haven’t really done that and they parts I’ve done I’m struggling to remember. And, we have to remember things like the pico, nano, milli (okay, that was an obvious one, but I don’t remember the other names!) and I learnt them in like 5th form – or 4th form – and promptly forgot them. I’ve always had them given to me, but now we have to know them! Eek – this should be fun – NOT! Our assignment is something related with oil slicks and orchards and buildings and shite. I’m a greeny at heart – I recycle and I don’t litter – but I really don’t care about the rest of this! And, its made me paranoid about my veges! I thought we wasted them just to be good – but to find out that they could contain arsenic and lead and other poisons is not cool! Argh! Yip, not liking this paper. What else… well, Lisa and I went to Napier over the weekend. I worked on Saturday from 8am – 1pm, then went home and arrived to find out that we needed to leave. Lisa’s grandfather is not too well and all the family was advised to go and say their goodbyes. So, we drove down at lightning speed to get there before hospital visiting hours end at 8pm. Not bad… we left at 2:30 and arrived at 7:15! But, we had to return home that evening because of the animals. We had dinner in Napier with Bronny then drove home. That was hard going. After being awake from 6am (I got woken up by the cat) and then working for 5hrs then driving for 5hrs then visiting for 2.5hrs then leaving at 10pm, getting home at 4am (driving for 7hrs – it was much harder going heading back so we took our time) I was knackered. But, I woke up at freakin 10am! I noticed last night that apparently the alarm went off at 7am, but I don’t remember it. Anyways, yesterday was good – all in all. We did a bit of house work (for only an 1hr), then I worked on my assignment while Lisa blobbed and then got an early dinner and watched The Wild – very entertaining. We were asleep by 9:30pm. But, had to get up at 5:30 to head into the city so it wasn’t really that much sleeping. My head is still sore. Why isn’t it improving? I’m willing it to improve, and yet I believe that staring at a computer screen is probably couter-productive. But, if I go and get a drink and something to eat I’ll lose this computer and won’t get it back again. So, bugger that, I’ll deal with the headache! Yeah, I’ve been rambling. I’m not sure what about… but I know its rambling. I wonder if anyone reads this shit… Night night (yes, I know its only 1pm!)

So, I must be good and maintain this updating thing - but I will try and keep this short and sweet... lets see how things go.
I'll have to work backwards...
Yesterday, Lisa and I did a bit of housework - there was list left by Bronny when she went to work in the morning - and then headed to the Warehouse "briefly". Well, it wasn't really that brief in the end... Lisa chose and I bought her birthday present - very exciting - and we got millions of tiki touches and lanterns and stuff for Feb08. Oh, and a braai (a BBQ that burns charcoal not gas). Borrowed my parents car to get Lisa's present home and then they didn't have any staff available when I went to pick it up so that was a let down. Got home late-ish to realise that the braai was really hard to put together! Darn thing... and then the coals too forever to heat up - so it was a late dinner! But, tasty :)
Saturday - working in the morning - on a few hours sleep! Not cool! But, managable. Then R&R in the evening...
Friday - work experience for the first time. It was interesting. I move around, took apart and cloned tons of computers... and this time I think "tons" is being used in the correct contents because getting computers off shelves talling than me proves that they are sometimes bloody heavy! But, that was intersting... I'm looking forward to when I can do the more detailed stuff. At least I went through all the computers in the building so there aren't any more that I can disect!
Thursday - work in the morning, class in the afternoon. A very busy day all round.
This desk is very hairy... wooden desks should not be hairy! Why do people come in and molt everywhere on the desk and keyboards? At least molt subtly on the floor where we only notice if we look really carefully... Oh well...
I have already been given a 3000-4000 word essay due on the 2nd April. I haven't written a psych essay in donkeys. This should be interesting... The general topic is looking at sexual offenders, role of childhood trauma in the development of violent crimes, if animal cruelty is a predictor of future antisocial behaviour and whether all the above says anything about treating young offenders in prison. Eek... a lovely friendly topic and not all up my alley! We'll see how things go...
Better get researching then...
I'm hungry...

Well, again I should be doing some study but hey... its the first week back and it normally takes me at least half the semester to get back into the studying thing - hehe.
I have to re-learn Chemistry and I'm just not getting into it. I think I mentioned that before...
I got Employer of the Month at Prime today - how weird! I got $40 in Pickles vouchers - but the vouchers specifically state that they won't give change to them. This sucks! They are in 2 $20 vouchers - but if we just wanted to grab a quick drink we can't! So, we actually have to go for a meal sometime, and that means we have to find time to do that! I don't think they are open that late, so that means its either breakfast or lunch. Breakfast is too early! Eek! Unless we go on a Wednesday's morning which is okay since we both start at 9:30 (and work until 8pm!!) and lunch there is never enough time! By the time you have chosen, ordered and the food has arrived you have like 10min to scoff before having to get back to work... Oh well, we'll find a good time to use them!
I'm back at uni at the moment. I have 2 classes this afternoon - Environmental from 2pm-4pm and Intro Forensics from 5pm - 6:30pm. My plan was to come in a little early and do some chem catch up - as you can tell that is not happening!
I don't like the fact that I can no longer use the CompSci computers. Kate Edger is not as cool as my own set up that I had going in CompSci. I had virtually commandeered a computer that was almost always mine! I then would set up shop for the day and be able to sit back, get my work done, have lunch there, and virtually not move until I had a class or it was time to go home. Now I have to re-work my study plans! Getting a computer in Kate Edger is sometimes Mission: Impossible - its only possible now because its the beginning of the semester and there are only a few of us idiots using the labs while its fantastically sunny outside and I could be relaxing in Albert Park... oh well...
Anyways, I have half an hour so perhaps I could do a little bit of work!
Ciao!

So, I’m back at uni – how exciting. Well, its better than some other things I could be doing. I had my first class for the semester at 8am Monday morning. It was Forensic Psychology which looks like its going to be exciting! Other than the normal introductions we watched a relatively icky video on a serial killer – Richard Kuklinksi (aka “Iceman”). We also got told that we will be visiting Mt Eden prison, the women’s correction centre, and 2 juvenile centres plus potential other field trips. In the afternoon I had Environmental Forensics which was quite boring and looks like its going to be evil mixture between hard and boring! We have to learn all these laws and put it in terms of the environment. I’m doing it because I was recommended it by Allan Watt to get my head around some of the legal stuff involved in forensics. My other paper is going to be tonight at 5pm so I’m just chilling at home until this afternoon when Lisa is going to take me to the bus stop during her lunch break. On Friday I start my work experience with a Computer Forensic company – how exciting. I’m really nervous, but looking forward to it! So, this means I’ve majorly reduced my hours at Prime which means a money cut but the work experience is going to be really good for future CVs! And a footing in the industry is even better. I have Diesel lying beneath my chair at the moment – I love having animals around. Chaos spends the night sleeping at my feet and is very cute and cuddley and Miss Diesel follows us around like a bad smell during the day. Really nice feeling! We went to Evanescence when they were here last week and it was an amazing concert! The opening act was nothing to write home about – hence the reason I have no need to elaborate further – but Evanescence were amazing! And we had really good seats – on the first balcony, 2nd row back. It was held at the St James which is such a random theatre! It could look really good if someone thought washing the walls or giving it a paint job might be a good idea! Crazy people! Other than Luke, I haven’t seen people in ages. I don’t know what others have been up to. This is a subtle hint to leave me a comment, or text me, or email me, or call. Any of these would be really good. We are currently in the process of gearing up to move. Damn landlords want to sell this place – but then again it’s a good thing since this place is too expensive and out of the way. To get anywhere its like a 10-15min drive there! I don’t want to sit in the car for 20-30min for a freaking bottle of milk! And I miss the views. Yes, we have a fantastic view out here, but we hardly ever see it and the Bays have a much better view. And the beaches are much closer. I’m so over living out here! Well, not long now. Unless they sell before hand then we will definitely be out of her by the end of April as we are not intending to renew our tenancy. I have to re-learn Chemistry! This should be interesting. The only good thing is that now I don’t feel like all those hours in Chem in 7th Form were completely wasted – only moderately! Well, better go and get myself sorted! Ciao all

Other than being pissed off with a guy on trade me for not sending me what I paid for, everything is really good atm.
I got back from South Island last week on Thursday with my Nan (grandmother) and parents. We had a good time for 10 days down there. It was really nice to chat up on things I never knew about my family. I got some family history names - I want to research the Daniels side of my family as no one ever has. I don't know where I came from, besides England, on that side. It would be really interesting.
I found out that my grandfather used to take aerial photographs of Germany when he was in the airforce - I never knew he did anything like that! I found out that I am part-French. My great-great-grandmother was from France. She went to England with her parents and meant my great-great-grandfather. They feel in love and when her parents were heading home she said she wanted to stay. They told her that if she did she would dis-owned - but she stayed anyway. Unfortunately that also means that it will be harder to trace my French routes if they disowned her, but hey!
Does anyone out there know of any good tools to use to trace your family history?
Well, Nan went back to South Africa on Friday - its really sad to see her go. You get so used to having family around that its not right when they are not there. She kept telling me how much she missed not seeing me grow up passed the age of 14. I miss that too. But, then again, I would not have changed not moving to New Zealand for anything! I have grown up into such a different person to what I think I would have been like in SA - I have a backbone now. I'm not going to allow anyone - not friends and family - to push me into something that I definitely know I shouldn't and don't want to do. I still can be pushed around into things I might not want to do, but thats slightly different. I still need more backbone, but its getting there. I've also realised that older people should only get the repsect they deserve and not the respect they think they should get without working for it.
Anyways, back to reality now. I went back to work straight after I got back - on the Friday - and have been there since. I've been working on this huge report - which has been going since the day before I left work - and I'm so over it now! Its like, as Hannah said, the never ending story! It just never seems to be going anywhere!
Uni starts up again on the 27th February. I'm looking forward to my papers this year! Should be really good! The only problem is that I have 2 more forensics papers to choose and I haven't yet chosen them. One could be this semester, so I'd better look into it! Well, then I'll leave my list of papers till next time as it may change! SO CONFUSED!
I really need to clear out my inbox - its 99% full! Hmmm....
Anyways, I'm off to enjoy the long weekend!
Ciao

Go into your blog’s archive and copy the first sentence from each month of this past year. Skip pictures and memes. Only copy sentences which you actually wrote. This will give you a miniature review of your year:
Jan: Well, I’m heading off to South Island with my folks for 12 days today. Feb: Well, it’s been donkeys since I last posted anything!! Mar: Man, I'm shattered! Apr: Update? Why not! May: Do you know? On the 4 May 2006, at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00 A.M., the time and date will be 01:02:03 04/05/06 Jun: Okay, fine, I'm bored. Jul: So, I’ve been allowed into my forensics program that I’m keen to do! YAY! Aug: Okay, that sucks! Sep: I hope I removed all distasteful images! Oct: So, I got a nudge from magependragon and so I thought I would honour her request and update. Nov: I didn’t make any posts this month Dec: Hey guys, I thought I'd make a really quick update.
So, in summary I spent my live journal year remembering to make a post eventually cos I hadn’t updated in ages!!

Hi all,
Well, I know I've been shocking - this is what happens when I'm not at uni!! Well, what have I been up to? This is going to be in no particular order.
My grandmother (aka Nan) has arrived from South Africa. She got her the week before Christmas and she's here until 20th-ish of Jan. We are taking her to the South Island for a holiday - leaving on the 8th Jan until the 18th. So, I'm off work for a good long while. I took the 2 weeks over Christmas and New Years off, and then those 10 days so I finally get a break - which is nice.
Lisa and I went camping last week. We bought a tent off trade me which is fantastic and got a whole bunch of other campy things like a camping stove, lantern, sleeping bags etc. We went to Rotorua - lovely and smelly - Taupo - on a drive through - Ohakune - stunning mountains - and on to Napier to visit Lisa's grandfather. It was great fun - we were really lucky with the weather and had an awesome time!!
Christmas was good - spent the day at some beach with parents and Nan. Lisa helped her mom cater for Bronny's work's Christmas lunch - but we got to spend Christmas afternoon and evening together.
New Years was nothing special - but then again it will be aroudn next year so no big deal. We rented out some DVDs and just relaxed. It was the fireworks across the water that alerted us to midnight - hehe.
Other than those events, we have been working most of the time.
Anyways, I'm going to try and catch up on other's life briefly...
Cya guys :)
